Paul N. Drolsom Award for Undergraduates

Marian Drolsom and children established this scholarship in honor of Emeritus Professor, Paul N. Drolsom. He enrolled at UW-Madison in 1943 but was quickly called away to serve in WWII in the 86th Infantry Division in Europe and the Phillipines until 1946. He returned to UW-Madison and received a BS degree in Agricultural Education in 1949. Paul then went on to earn his MS and PhD in Agronomy and Plant Pathology in 1950 and 1953, respectively. After graduation from UW-Madison, Paul worked for two years in Brazil for USAID. He then spent five years with the U.S. Department of Agriculture and North Carolina State University as a faculty member. Paul and his family then returned to Wisconsin, were he was a professor in the Agronomy Department at UW-Madison for 30 years.

Eligibility Criteria
Awarded to undergraduate students in CALS who have demonstrated an interest in studying agronomy and plant sciences. The Department of Plant and Agroecosystem Sciences nominates students for this award.
