Gus Bohstedt Award - Kiwanis Club of Downtown Madison

Dr. Gustav Bohstedt was a distinguished Professor of Animal Science at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He led the development of animal nutrition as a recognized area of scientific inquiry, pioneered the study of mineral nutrition and originated the meat science program at UW-Madison. He was a long-time member of the Kiwanis Club of Downtown Madison. To honor his memory, members of the Club established an endowment, the earnings of which support an annual scholarship to be awarded to an undergraduate student or to a graduate student in the Department of Animal Sciences or Department of Dairy Science who has a particular interest in animal nutrition.

Eligibility Criteria
Awarded to undergraduate or graduate students in CALS. Students must be majoring in Animal Science or Dairy Science and studying animal nutrition.
