Lynndon & Norma Brooks Scholarship

This scholarship was created by the late Lynndon Brooks ’48, ’49, ’58 MS and Norma Brooks ‘49. Both Dr. and Mrs. Brooks are graduates of UW-Madison. Lynndon received a BS in Agricultural Engineering, a BS in Civil and Environmental Engineering and an MS in Agricultural Engineering. He served on the faculty in the Department of Agricultural Engineering from 1950 until his retirement in 1987. Norma received her BS in Family and Consumer Education and was a home economics teacher in the Verona, Oregon and Milwaukee school districts. She was also an instructor of home economics and clothing/textiles at the MATC-Madison campus for over 30 years, until her retirement in 1985.

Eligibility Criteria
Awarded to undergraduate students in CALS majoring in Biological Systems Engineering (BSE). Recipients are selected based on academic performance, jobs held while attending UW, community, university and department leadership, and club activities. Preference is given to Wisconsin residents and students at the sophomore/junior level. The Department of BSE nominates students for this award.
