Elsa Thomsen Demeter Academic Merit Award

Elsa Thomsen was born in Hubbell, Michigan. She was a graduate of Medford High School and Whitewater Normal School. Her husband was a professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and this is where Elsa and her family resided throughout most of their lives. She was an active volunteer with the American Red Cross and University Hospital. As a member of Demeter, this award is given at the bequest of Elsa Thomsen, who passed away in August, 1998.

Eligibility Criteria
All CALS students are eligible; GPA minimum 3.5.
