Olaf Larson Wisconsin Rural Youth Scholarship

The Olaf F. Larson Wisconsin Rural Youth Scholarship was established by Olaf Larson. He grew up on a farm in Edgerton, WI. Dr. Larson earned a B.S. and M.S. in journalism and a PhD in rural sociology at UW-Madison. He taught at Cornell University from 1946 to 1975 and worked for the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Dr. Larson published several books about rural rehabilitation.

FAFSA required prior to awarding decisions.

Eligibility Criteria
Awarded to students who have attended a rural Wisconsin high school as defined by the United States Census Bureau with demonstrated financial need. Preference given to incoming Freshmen.
