UW-Madison Undergraduate Scholarship for Summer Study

Need-based scholarship awarded to high-achieving undergraduate students (of any major) seeking financial support to take courses in the upcoming summer session at UW-Madison. Award availability and amounts are subject to vary.

FAFSA required prior to awarding decisions

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be currently enrolled at UW-Madison pursuing an undergraduate degree
- Be in good academic standing and have a cumulative GPA which reflects academic success
- Enroll in at least one UW-Madison summer course by the deadline (to be announced in the spring)

Freshmen, sophomores, and students taking a full summer credit load (6-9 credits) are encouraged to apply.

A limited number of scholarships are available for international students.

A limited number of scholarships are also available for students taking summer Study Abroad through UW-Madison (UW Signature Study Abroad programs are given priority).

How to Apply
Apply for the UW-Madison Undergraduate Scholarship for Summer Study through the WiSH portal. Applications are now due due May 1, 2020 (updated deadline). Some students may be eligible to receive their scholarship decision early if they submit their application by March 16, 2020.

Selection Criteria
Completed applications are evaluated by a scholarship committee using the above eligibility criteria. Successful applicants will have well written responses to the application questions.

Award Information
Award recipients will be notified by end of April.

This scholarship requires a completed FAFSA form on file with UW-Madison.

Conditions of Award
Award availability and amounts are subject to vary. Award can only be applied to UW-Madison summer tuition & fees.
