Ham Bruhn Biological Systems Engineering Scholarship

Hjalmar (Ham) Bruhn, during his 44-year career at UW-Madison, work extensively on machinery design work that includes a tree planting machine design incorporated into planters to this day. He grew up on a farm near Spring Green, WI where his interest in how machines and engineering could assist in agricultural production and efficiencies. He taught more than 4,000 short-course, undergraduate, and graduate students during his career on the UW-Madison campus.
