Neal & Darlyne Jorgensen Dairy Science Award

Emeritus Dean Neal Jorgensen has a long history with the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences. He grew up on a dairy farm in Luck, Wisconsin and received a MS from the School of Agricultural and Life Sciences in Dairy Science in 1962 as well as a Ph.D. in 1964. Neal joined the Department of Dairy Science in August of 1964 as a faculty member. He assumed the role of Dean of the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences in 1997 and retired in 1998 after nearly 35 years of leadership at the UW.

Eligibility Criteria
Awarded to undergraduate students in CALS majoring in Dairy Science. The Department of Dairy Science nominates students for this award.
