M.B. Buchanan Scholarship in Elementary Education
Anne Buchanan received a Bachelor’s degree from the School of Education in 1962, and a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction in 1971. She spent her career working in education research and policy with long tenures at both the Wisconsin Center for Education Research and the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction. She wishes to honor her mother, M.B. Buchanan, who was an innovative, inspiring, and skilled elementary educator. Underlying her talent and dedication as a teacher was compassion and love of children.
