National Merit Scholarship Award
The University of Wisconsin-Madison partners with the National Merit Scholarship Corporation to offer college-sponsored Merit scholarships awards to select National Merit Finalists. Selection Criteria
1. Entering freshman or continuing sophomore
2. 2024 National Merit Finalist who has selected UW-Madison as their “first choice” college
3. High academic achievement as evidenced on their undergraduate admission application
4. Completed the 2024-2025 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and sent it to UW-Madison (School Code 003895)
How to Apply
National Merit Finalists must select UW-Madison as their “first choice” college with the National Merit Scholarship Corporation. While students have until May 31, 2024 to report their “first choice” college, we recommend that you select UW-Madison before March 1, 2024.
These students are entered into a competitive process to select scholarship recipients based on their admissions and financial aid applications. Students will be contacted if selected.
