Student Research Grants Competition - Conference Presentation

Do you need financial support to present your research at a conference? If so, apply for Conference Presentation Funds! The competition is now open and applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until May 31, 2019.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Conference Travel Award you need to meet the following criteria:

Must be enrolled at UW-Madison as a full-time graduate student in a traditional graduate degree program (non-professional);
Must be traveling to present research (e.g., paper, poster) at a conference (domestically or internationally).
Conference start date must fall within the current fiscal year (between July 1, 2018 and June 30, 2019).

How to Apply
For the 2018-19 competition, award levels are $300, $600 and $1200. While all graduate students are eligible to receive award SRGC travel awards once per academic year priority will be given to dissertators and final-year MFA students, followed by doctoral students, and then master’s level students. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis until May 31, 2019

Selection Criteria
Applicants must demonstrate the need for at least $300 or more (in addition to any outside funding you might be receiving for the same conference presentation event) by filling out an Estimated Budget Form.

Conditions of the Award
Must be a graduate student in traditional graduate program, and be able to show need for travel support of $300 or higher.
