Liebenberg Family Scholarship
The Liebenberg Family Scholarship was established by family members in 1997 for students who plan to teach science or mathematics. The Liebenbergs have longstanding connections to UW-Madison, dating back at least 100 years. Many members of the family have worked in the field of education, including an 1897 UW graduate who was superintendent of the Buffalo County Normal School, as well as many others who have served as teachers, counselors, and school administrators.
