Judith Sloan Scholarship
The Judith Sloan Scholarship was established in 2006 by Judith and James Sloan, both UW-Madison graduates. The award honors the career of Judith, who graduated from the School of Education and has been a tutor for the Rochester, Minnesota Reading Center (Dyslexia Institute of Minnesota) for many years.
Students seeking teacher certification in Special Education with a concentration in learning disabilities, particularly dyslexia. Recipients of the scholarship may also have the possibility of attending, tuition-free, the Rochester Minnesota’s Reading Center summer session.
Recipients are selected by the Department of Rehabilitation Psychology and Special Education.
