Participatory Learning and Teaching Organization (PLATO) Scholarships
PLATO (Participatory Learning and Teaching Organization) is a learning-in-retirement program in which members design and lead courses. Traditionally supporting single-parent undergraduate students, the scholarship program expanded in 2013 to assist a broader group of returning adult and nontraditional students at UW-Madison.
This scholarship supports returning adult students pursuing undergraduate, graduate, or professional degrees.
Eligibility Criteria
- Demonstrated financial need
- Strong potential for academic success
- U.S. citizen, permanent resident, asylee, or eligible non-citizen
To be considered for this scholarship, submit an application through the ‘Scholarships for Nontraditional, Adult, & Single Parent Students’ opportunity. Up to 14 individual scholarships are associated with this application and are administered by the Division of Continuing Studies.
