John Jackson International Textile Travel Fellowship

The John Jackson International Textile Travel Award supports international travel to further textile research. Made possible through the generosity of John R. Jackson ’73, a UW alumnus and accomplished collector, this fund was created to expand the understanding of textile traditions of the world and the cultures in which they have developed. The award supports international travel and living expenses for fellows, including but not limited to Helen Louise Allen Textile Collection staff as well as affiliated graduate students and faculty interested in studying global textile traditions to enhance the knowledge base of the collection. Award recipients are selected by a committee appointed by the Dean of the School of Human Ecology and the Executive Director of the CDMC.
