Julia Strong Math Scholarship

The Julia Strong Math Scholarship provides support to undergraduate students majoring in mathematics.

Applicants will write a 1,000-word essay that ties mathematics to questions of a humanistic nature. Some examples (but you should not feel limited to these prompts) are:

  • Was mathematics invented or discovered?
  • Does mathematics exist outside of human intelligence?
