Olsen, Dr. Ralph N. Award
The Donors wish to honor the memory of their father, Dr. Ralph N. Olsen, by financially supporting medical/health students at the University.
The Fund shall be used, in the discretion of the School of Medicine and Public Health’s Native American Center for Health Professions, to (1) support one or more Doctor of Medicine (MD) students in the Center who are members of any federally-recognized Native American tribes and whose tuition is not charged at the in-state rate, and/or (2) pay cost of living expenses for students in the Center who are members of any federally-recognized Native American tribes and whose tuition is charged at the in-state rate. If no students in the Center meet these criteria, the scholarship shall be awarded to nursing students who are members of any federally-recognized Native American tribes and whose tuition is not charged at the in-state rate. If still no students meet these criteria, the scholarship shall be awarded to students in any health professions programs at the University who are involved with the Center.
