Global WI Idea Fund

This award was created to help Wisconsin residents have the opportunity to live and learn abroad, to appreciate and understand different cultures. The donor who created this fund graduated from law school at UW and worked at UW for both the history department and the law school. She had the opportunity to travel behind the Iron Curtain when she was young and has traveled extensively as an adult. These opportunities and exposures shaped her perception of the world and the United States. She hopes to enable more students to study abroad in non-traditional locations and to enhance their understanding of cultural differences and values
