Osher Reentry Scholarship

The Bernard Osher Foundation supports higher education initiatives to enhance quality of life. The Osher Reentry Scholarship Endowment provides financial assistance to adults returning to college after a significant educational gap. UW–Madison is one of 88 universities nationwide selected to receive this prestigious endowment.

This scholarship supports nontraditional and returning adult students pursuing their first in-person undergraduate degree after a gap in education.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Demonstrated financial need
  • Recent educational gap within the past five years
  • Academic promise and commitment to degree completion
  • Ideally age 25-50
  • Anticipated participation in the workforce for a significant period after graduation
  • U.S. citizen, permanent resident, asylee, or eligible non-citizen

The application for this award is to be submitted through the ‘Scholarships for Nontraditional, Adult, & Single Parent Students’ opportunity. There are up to 14 individual scholarships associated with this one application, administered by the Division of Continuing Studies.
