Milwaukee Press Club Scholarship in Honor of Meg Jones

The Milwaukee Press Club (MPC) Scholarship in Honor of Meg Jones is awarded to one SJMC student studying Journalism on the reporting track who has a GPA of 3.0 or higher, with a strong preference for members of the UW Marching Band because Meg Jones was a proud member of the UW Marching Band. There is also a preference for financial need. If no students meet these qualifications, the Donor prefers that the scholarship be awarded to any Journalism undergraduate student with financial need.

The Milwaukee Press Club (MPC) is the oldest continuously operating press club in North America. Founded in 1885, MPC has fostered professional development for its members and provided a sense of community for journalists throughout Wisconsin. Since its founding, the club has expanded its membership to include journalists and others working in the media in the Milwaukee area, as well as journalism educators, public relations and marketing professionals, students and members of the general public. Its mission is to promote journalistic excellence and camaraderie among its members.
