Joyce F. Jeardeau Family Medicine Memorial Scholarship

Joyce Jeardeau was the student programs coordinator for the DFMCH for many years. Her enthusiasm, drive, and creativity were the vital forces that made our Family Medicine Interest Group (FMIG) a national program of excellence for six years in a row. The fund was established in Joyce’s memory by her husband, David Jeardeau, to assist medical students with the cost of their education.

Awarded by the Department of Family Medicine.

Selection Criteria: CV, personal statement, and at least one letter of support.

Personal Statement should include the following:
• Exposure to family medicine
• Participation in areas of priority to family medicine
• Strength of letter of recommendation
• Promotion of Social Impact and Belonging
• Unique or outstanding aspects of the student
