Joan and Lawrence Meltesen

Joan (Harris) Meltesen earned her BSE in Physical Education from UW-Madison in 1939. During her time at UW, she served as the secretary of the Women’s Physical Education Club as well as a member of the Co-op Council. She married Lawrence Meltesen on October 1, 1941. They had two children, Jack and Chris Meltesen, as well as four grandchildren. Joan taught in Saginaw, MI prior to her retirement. She passed away on March 15, 2015.
