Gilbert Mechanical Contractors

Dan Gilbert ’66 lives in Wayzata, MN, with his wife, Marty. Dan majored in Civil and Environmental Engineering while he was at UW-Madison. He is the president and founder of Gilbert Mechanical Contractors, Inc., a full-service engineering, construction, and service company founded in 1978. Before starting GMC, he worked for a heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) contractor, pursuing the design/construction marketplace and becoming certified in Minnesota as a registered professional engineer. He has also worked as an adjunct professor at the University of Minnesota.
