Fred and Valmai Fenster

This scholarship was established by Professor Emeritus Fred Fenster. Fred is a Professor Emeritus of Art Metals. He received the Alliant Energy Underkofler Excellence in Teaching Award. His late wife was Valmai Fenster ’77 PHD. She was born on June 17, 1939 in Nelson, New Zealand. She was an assistant professor of Library Science at the UW-Madison. She was a graduate of Dux of Marlborough College, New Zealand in 1956 and received an M.A. Degree from the University of Canterbury, New Zealand in 1960, a M.Sc. from the University of Illinois in 1962 and a Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin in 1977.
