Betsy and Bezalel Haimson

This scholarship was established by Betsy & Bezalel Haimson to support talented Master of Social Work students. Betsy was able to attend the University of Minnesota School of Social Work on a federal grant. This financial support was essential to her success and thus inspired her desire to support other graduate students. The University League is a nonprofit membership organization open to all who support the University of Wisconsin-Madison. The purpose of the League is to raise funds for student scholarships and to promote volunteer services, educational opportunities, and social activities for its members. Founded in 1901, The University League has provided student scholarships and loans since 1916. In the past thirty years, the League has provided more than one million dollars in scholarship funding for UW-Madison students and gifts to UW-related groups.
